Publishing problem

J

John

I've upgraded from FP2000 to XP. I've deleted several
files off of my web site locally. However, when I try to
publish to my web host's server, it's doesn't ask if I'd
like to delete the files that are currently on the server,
but not on my local computer.

Back when I used FP2000, it would always tell me if there
were files on the server that weren't on my computer and
ask if I'd like them deleted. And, FYI, it's not
automatically deleting them either. I can't find any
setting in Frontpage XP to change this. Help! Thanks!

Any time you upgrade or re-install FP, you have do a complete publish at
least once before using the change page only option to get both sites back
in sync. The best approach would be to open the live site and publish back
to your local machine, if the remote server has the FP extensions.
