Publishing Problems GRRRRRRRR!

I have Hughes.net for my connection. I use a host to host my FP Websites.
My problem is: When I try to publish ...just some of the sites... the
following error:
Unable to open "http://www.xxxxxxxxx.com" Possible causes:
1. The Web Server may not have FrontPage Server Extensions installed.
2. The Web Server may be temporarily out of service.
3. If you are connecting through a proxy server, the proxy settings may be
incorrect.
4. An error may have occurred in the web server.

If I use my very slow dial up account it will let me publish. I have been
on the phone with Hughes and my host for hours at a time trying to figure
this out. There is no proxy.
All sites are on the same server. Some will let me publish and others won't
it's like shooting dice as to which ones will allow publishing with my
satellite connection and which ones won't. PLEASE HELP.

Can you open all the sites in FP using
File Open Site and entering http://www.xxxxxxxxx.com/

Is so, you can reverse publish from remote (your PC based site) to local (your online site)

Didn't work Double GRRRRRRR
....

Em! Tricky one this. Not sure if this will help. If everything server side
seems to be working fine according to your host. I would try turning off
the
fire wall and see if that makes a difference. Although 95% of my sites are
uploaded via ftp the few accounts I have with SE "http" have had a few
problems and after turning off the firewall were ok ( just to publish). I
know its not the best thing to do but just thought it was worth a go.
I presume you are on MS XP?

- contact your provider for a workaround
(believe one of the issues is related to the latency timing out the process)

Depends on the provider and/or the package you pay for,,,I believe.
