publishing problems using wireless versus dial-up

I use Frontpage 2003. I have published data regularly to the web at one of
two ISPs -- one in the USA and one in Mexico, both using dial-up. I recently
went to DSL followed by a WIFI router for both of these ISPs. The unit works
fine in the USA. In Mexico, with the exact same router set up (hardware and
all), the program gets stuck when I go to publish and synchronize using the
WIFI. I went back to the dial-up and it works fine.

Suggestions?

radio frequency interference problems?

I do not think radio frequency interference is the problem. I have no
problem with any other internet transfers, such as e-mail or going to
websites -- Only problem is FP.

One additional observation, in the file listings for both the "local web
site" and "remote web site" within FP, I get a message in the status column
that says "conflict". Once I get out of FP and go to the website, the page I
tried to publish is totally blank at on the remote site but still okay on the
local FP. Does that have significance?

You should do a full publish to get rid of conflicts....especially if you
are working from two different locations...or your machines will be out of
wack with the online copy.

I use only one laptop and keep my "master" copy on that laptop. I always
publish "local to remote". I just tried publishing using "synchronize" and
received an error message: 426 Data Connection Closed, Receive File 'x'
aborted. I have never tried connecting directly to my DSL modem in MX (i.e.,
by passing the WIFI) and then publishing - thus eliminating your prior
concern of radio frequency. I'll be in MX next week and try that. More to
come . . .

ftp error...but I dunno much about that stuff.

I did some satellite work down in Mexico a few years back on a big private
estate overlooking the ocean and we had all sorts of communications problems
with the sat. and and cell phones as well.

Maybe someone else here will weigh-in on this problem.
