Publishing projects to Project Server and changing user permission

Frode Sorhoy

Hi.

I've created a Project 2007 project, assigned some users/resources to it,
created som task BUT not assigned resources to them. After published the
project and looking at the regihts/groups set on e.g. the document library on
the PWA site for the project, all the resources have only Read access. Is
this how it sholud be?

The I assigned some tasks to the user's, publish the project again, but
still the user's have only Read access to the document libary. Is this how it
should be?

Where can I find documentation describing the publishing process, when and
how are permissions/rights set, etc.?

Best regards,
Frode

Thanx, but I've seen that article. It gave me the big picture, and explains
how it should work, but it doesn't address my first to questions.

To my understanding the resources/persons added to a project should belong
to the Team member role and have Contribute rights. Correct?

Team members (Microsoft Office Project Server) Users who have assignments
in this project in Office Project Server 2007 and are contributors to the
project workspace site, meaning that they can create and edit documents,
issues, and risks.

Readers (Microsoft Office Project Server) Users who have been added to
this project in Office Project Server 2007, but not assigned to tasks.

If these are false then yes something is wrong with the site and
permissions. The only other thing I can think of is that the Workspace
permissions is turned off or unchecked under Server Settings / Project
Workspaces Provisions Settings.
