publishing to a remote site

My Operating System: Windows XP pro Service Pack 2

I have FrontPage 2003

When I click on "Publish" I get a message which reads:

"Unable to open 'http://www.mysite.com' Possible causes:
1) The web server may not have the FrontPage Serveer Extensions installed
2) The web server may be temporarily out of service
3. If you are connecting through a proxy server, the proxy settings may be
incorrect
4. An error may have occurred in the web server

The FP extensions are installed on the remote site.

I have successfully accessed and published to remote sites with FP for over
a year on this computer. I CAN NOT get to any of my sites using my IE
browser edit button on the menu bar either.

On another computer running Windows XP and FrontPage 2003 I can publish to a
remote site using FrontPage and I can use the IE browser edit button on the
menu bar.

Thanks

The FrontPage Server Extensions may be corrupted. If you have access via a
control panel, uninstall the extensions and reinstall. If not, ask your host
to do it for you.

The problem is not on the host. I can publish sites to a remote web via
FrontPage from another computer. I have uninstalled FrontPage on my computer
and reinstalled, did not help.

I am having the exact same problem and have posted about this only to get
replies saying that it is a problem with the remote site. But I don't see how
this can be when I can easily access the remote site from a different
computer using an earlier version of Frontpage. I suspect that it's either a
problem with Frontpage itself or the way that I'm trying to access my remote
site.
Can someone run through a step-by-step process of accessing a remote site
with a username and passoword using Frontpage 2003, please?
