Publishing to Subdomain

My host has set up the server so I can publish to a subdomain, but I have
never done it before and don't know how to set up FP 2002 locally.

Will some give me step by step instructions on how to do that, please? Is
this something I should set up in My Network Places or directly in FP?

I'm guessing (the only contact with my host is through email which is hard
for me to understand) that I should make the address:
http://subdomain.domain.com. Is that correct? Also, please tell me what else
I should be aware of. Thanks for helping.

Rod,

I think my host has lost it. I just hung up from a very snippy young man
that claimed to be a 3rd level tech at the company. I did get him to
(supposedly) give the email address of the owner. Here is the message I
sent:

To whom it may concern:

I was given this address as the one for the owner of _____________and wish
to report that the support at ______ Hosting is sorely lacking.

If this email makes a difference, I invite you to call me at
______________________.

Sincerely,

___________

I blanked out some of the message for now. I'll wait and see if this brings
a telephone call. If not, all I can do is not renew I suppose.

Make sure that the server admin has the subdomain covered by the FrontPage
extensions. the fp extensions have to be applied to the subdomain as well
or publishing won't work.
what exact error message are you getting?
also post your url and the url of the subdomain.
are you sure that you and your host are talking about the same thing (subweb
vs. subdomain)?
