Publishing to the Web using 2003

OK, I know this question has been beaten to death, BUT...
I save the .pub; I publish to the web (FTP); my
previously no-problem program now results in "page not
found" after upload is finished, and one tries to access
the site. David had explained something to me once about
renaming index files, but this isn't working...I have
tried with regular (default) index pages with numbers,
and I have tried to remember that renamiing
thing...nothing works. Our site is currently down...HELP!
Please.

I just read the post "Controlling the names of index
files" posted 10 August. This is the renaming issue that
I was referring to. Thanks again.

Using the sub-folder is really user preference. It's usage does effect the
actual naming of files by Publisher. But as long as Publisher is doing the
hyperlinks and you publish in Publisher the file naming isn't something you
need to worry about.

At the original build, you had me to rename all of the
files to AcademiedeDanse2.htm, "3.htm, etc. It worked.
Now, it doesn't. I tried to go back to the default
version (index_Page[and a number])...this doesn't work
either. I really do not enjoy the publish changes that
were made in v2003. The site is down, and it's costing me
big-time. Thanks for your continued help.

I've told you how to publish and you say you're doing that. So there is
nothing more at this point I can offer you other than offer to publish your
site myself and review your issue. If you want to pursue that send me the
pub file and your upload login information via email.

The only link I didn't see that worked was
http://www.dancealaska.com/index_AcademiedeDanse2.htm
do you still have such a page in the pub file? Did you upload the web page
for that page?
