Publishing very slow

Hi all,

Suddenly the time for projects publication has gone from 8-10 seconds
to 20-25 seconds.
We have 2 front-end server and a clustered sql server 2005

I can not understand the reason for this deterioration. Where do I
start looking? The servers are not stressed and not even the sql
server 2005.

thanks

Hi Bobo,

At least check your queue to see if there is something (or a large quantity
of somethings) stuck there. We had a similar issue, publish times went from
2-3 seconds to 30 and it was resolved by clearing a few stuck jobs from the
queue.

BOBO,

Have you looked at the network ? Are there no scheduled jobs
running. Are you absolutely sure your server is not the problem. Do you
have suffiecent disk space avail on the server ? What is the size of
your paging file ? Have you checked your server queue for any stuck
jobs ? Have you tried restarting the Sharepoint timer ? Have you
perused your eventlogs for anything suspisious ?

I suggest start with the event logs and take it from there
