hello...i am publishing spreadsheets to the web - using
file save as interactive html page. the concern i have is
the size of the excel object that opens up. it's default
is set to auto (which is a percentage of the browser
size). is there a way for me to change this size to make
the excel objext larger / smaller? thanks - sam.

Hi Sam,
You mean the default like in your browser for size.
You can't change someone else's system or browser,
if you can that would be a breach of security.

Your bigger problem is putting an interactive HTML file
on the web. If you do, you have to have access restricted
to users that you can guarantee have Office components --
in other words they must have Excel as well. This limitation
generally restricts interactive "web" pages to Intranets
(internal to a company).

Hi David,

Thanks for your response. The project I am working on is
for my company and it these files will be accessed via our
intranet. My concern is that when I save an Excel file as
an interactive html page (e.g. In Excel, go to file save
as: file type: html; selection: sheet; add interactivity -
checked --> the excel window that appears when i open up
the page via internet explorer is automatically adjusted
based on the browser size. I am not trying to control the
size of the browser; however, I do want to control the
size of the excel object (either by making the excel
object a constant width / hight - regardless of the size
of the browser - so that users would how to scroll if they
need to see the whole excel object) or by making the excel
object at for example 95% of the browser size (as compared
to abt 80% of the browser size which seems to be the
default). i was just curious to know if there was a
property in the html code or in the dll files that
generate the excel web pages - where I could change the
default.

Thanks for your help. - Sam.
