pulling data from a field in word to the subject line in an email

I am using mail merge in word to send a ton of emails,
does any one one know of a way to pull data from one of
the fields into the subject line of the email?

Word does NOT provide a way to do this.

If you're using Word 2002 or later, it is possible to use
the new mail merge event - BeforeRecordMerge - to set this
for each record using code.
