Pulling data from one tab to another & matching it

OK, so any help would be greatly appreciated:

I have 2 tabs with lots of data in(!) In the first tab I have thousands of rows of unique reference numbers which are also allocated to a category number (the category numbers are unique in this tab to the unique ref number).In the 2nd tab, I have the "unique" category numbers but they are also duplicated in varying amounts. In this 2nd tab i need to pull in the unique reference numbers for each category number from the 1st tab. So hence, in theresulting figures, the unique reference numbers will also be duplicated against the duplicated category numbers.

I may have explained this in an unnecessarily complicated way so i do apologise.
