Like Fries w/ That?

I set up a numbered list in one section of my document. In another section I
created a drop down list box (DDLB) that contains that information. The DDLB
works properly, but I would like for the information to be lower case. How
can I present the list items in lower case?

Another related question:
What I would really rather have (than a DDLB) is a new section for every
item in the list. The number of the item on the list is also important. Is
there some automation that can be applied to do this?

I am new to infopath and XML, using 2003.

You can use the translate function to switch from Upper to lower case.

I would recommend you switch from a number list to a repeating table or
section.

You can make it look and behave like the list but then you also have the
ability to add related fields and details into each one and have a section
for each.

It sounds like that is the structure you need.

Thanks for your response, Clay. I thought about the repeating sections, but
the numbering aspect is important for my documents as well. For example the
first item in the list would be"
01. this is an objective
Subsequent items would be:
01.01. this is a supporting objective
In future documents I would want to be able to maintain that numbering with
new items, like script numbering, design objects, photo naming conventions.
For example:
01.01.01.Table
or
01.01.0001. "this is the script for this section..."
01.01.0002. "...this is the next script."

This should be able to be accomodated with defaults.

Does the numbering cross multiple forms or just within a form?
