purchased word, but documents say 'test drive' with days to expire?

I just installed word mac on my ibook, but word documents all say 'test
drive' on them and i am asked to purchase office mac before the test
drive expires in 30, 29, 28 etc days. has anyone else had this
problem?
what can it o about this? thanks.

The test drive may already have been on the machine. It's important to
uninstall it before installing the real version. m.

And sadly, you have to uninstall everything and then re-install from
scratch. Assuming you have Office 2004, you should use the Remove Office
utility, found in apps/office/additional tools. See here for suggestions on
what you might want to back up first, though if you just installed it, you
may not need any of the suggested files.
