Purchasing Licenses For Microsoft Office

E

Eric

Hello,

I am thinking of starting up a small part-time
business of building computers for people in my area. In
doing so, I would have to purchase licenses for Microsoft
Office (Most likely 2000), and install them on the systems
I would be selling. Is anybody aware of a way to purchase
just the licenses, and use software that I have already
purchased in order to install the product on the computers
I build? One would think that there is a way to just pay
a fee for a license, instead of having to fork out $250
for each copy of Microsoft Office 2000 that I would need
to install on each computer. Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not sure Office 2000 licenses are even available for sale anymore. Even
if they were, it's likely that your clients would want original install
media available for their future use.

Participating in a System Builder program will give you access to the
resources you'll need to offer Office to your customers.

Thanks,

As long as you're initally going to be purchasing more
than five licenses, I'd go with the Open Business license
and add to it as needed.
