put accents over specific letters in words

I am trying to figure out how to put accents of the two "e"s in the French
word resume -- the document that contains your entire work and educational
background for employers....

HELP!

Method 1: Alt+0233 (that is, hold down the Alt key, and type zero two
three three from the numeric keypad at the right side of the keyboard)

Method 2: Press Ctrl+' and then press e
