If the pictures are inserted inline, you could just press the spacebar a few
times between each pair, but a more satisfactory plan might be to create a
borderless five-column, one-row table and insert a picture in each table
cell. You can adjust the cell padding to give the desired amount of space.
if you are putting them horizontally -- another option would be to select
all of them at once... then use the align and distribute options from the
drawing toolbar to align them so they are all even... and then to distribute
them evenly across your page. Remember -- the distribution will merely
distibute them between the far left and far right -- so if you want them
distributed across the page -- put the left picture at the left margin and
the right picture at the right margin...
