Putting custom text into Text1 field

This is related to Nicole's post on April 29th and should
be easy but I just cannot figure it out.
I am using Project 2000 with SR1.
I want to put custom text on a bar, I right click the bar
and select Text1 (or any TextN option). But I cannot find
out how to put in text for these TextN fields! If I try
and type over the Text1 in the format bar dialog box it
gives me "Not a valid option" failure. If I leave Text1 in
the field nothing shows up on the bar.

How do I define these text fields?

Hi Pat,

You have access to the Textn field in teh left part of the view.
Insert, Column, select which text field.
You can enter anything for the appropriate task.
