Putting Project Phases on hold

R

Robb

I have about 23 small projects. In each project there are 3 phases
with about 10 tasks in each phase. Phase 1 works on a defined
start-end schedule date while Phase 2 has to wait on approval of Phase
1 (which could be days/weeks/months). How can I put that phase (and
all the tasks that depend on it) on hold?

To complicate matters, I have one project that links to all of the
smaller projects and from time to time I need to put an entire project
on hold with no definite start date. Is there a way to put an entire
project on hold?

Just keep moving the start date of that phase to the future.
Other than that, there is not much you can do. Maybe put the files in a
different folder and don't look at them?

Maybe you coule just push the task out with a lag. Double click on the task
to "hold" for the task information box and go to the predecessors tab.
Select the line that is the predecessor and scroll up on the lag number to
push the task out.
