Putting text on a image in Word 2000

Jason Clark

I have an image (jpeg) I want to place some text on, but of course I
can't do this without a text box...

How do I make a text box fully transparent?

Or is there another application I can use to format easily the text
and with bullets, etc and import into word?

I can do this with MS PUB 2002, but don't how to import the image/text
made in that application.

Also have Adobe photoshop/MacroMedia Fireworks 4

Don't know how to format text correctly with bullets though using
them.

Jason,

You can have your text appear on an image without the box.
After inserting your image go to your drawing toolbar and
click AutoShapes, Callouts and select one. Drag and size
it approxiamately where you want it. Type your text, then
right-click the box and select Format AutoShape. Select
Color and Lines, and set the fill and line options to
none. Keep in mind you may have to change the font color
if the backgroud obscures it.

Hi, Jason,

Right-click the edge of the text box and choose Format Text Box. Set the
fill color to No Fill and the line color (for the box border) to No Line.

A callout is really just a special-purpose text box.
