Putting up a second site on a server and having problems

I had had a website up on the same apache server that my current website is
on. I was looking at it through the remote website screen and i had deleted
(or at least thought i did) the older website to replace it with my current
one. Now, i'm having problems with the current one...

my pictures were not going up and one of the MVPs said that the server i was
on was case-sensative, and that when he actually went to look for my
pictures, the server was saying that they didn't exist. I just tried as
well, after i screwed around with the files a bit, and it said the same
thing. I published the files on there, though. I can see them on the remote
server.

not only were my pictures affected, but the links back to my homepage on
several pages cannot find index.html (which was the same title of the index
page for my original site).

Also, the buttons for some of the pages (the same web pages that had the
problem with the homepage link) will sometimes mess up on their hover image
and get replaced with an image of a button from my previous site.

Now, i tried to move the files around and make sure they get published and
all that good stuff, but i'm not sure what to do about renaming everything.
I don't understand why i would have to because the only files that should be
up on that server should be the ones pertaining to my other site. Unless
there is a "hidden files" feature on the remote server, i erased all the
files that weren't supposed to be there. in the "My Websites" folder, i have
three different folders. one is an empty one, the other two consist of my
old and current websites. i don't see how that could conflict with anything,
but i dunno. I am so at a lost at this point. i tried doing the hyperlinks
and pictures over and over again, and tried to switch around the files to put
them all in the same damn folder, but to no avail.

here is my website that's up:

hmmm....some of your images have an .htm extension instead of jpg or gif.
How'd you do that?

WHAT!?!? ....i didn't catch that...well i did have links on there to go to
an enlarged version of the picture on each page. each of those pages only
consisted of an image and nothing more. maybe that's what you're seeing?

I just thought of something....um i both the old and the new site have the
same address: minibroach.com....

....now going through my actual script. the buttons were screwing up because
the script was all messed up. this has been happening every so often whilest
making the second site. i would go and add something (through options and
tools and such, not by just doing code) and something later on would be
messed up with it. Maybe i'm just jumping all over the place and doing
stupid stuff....idk. but anyways, i'm fixing the buttons right now. once i
go over all the buttons and links, my site should be fine. I'm not sure what
will happen to the pics, though.

i redid ALL the buttons, and instead of allowing Frontpage to label all the
buttons automatically, i gave them all new labels too. It seemed to work.
GOD-WILLING, it will hold

ok now you need to optimize your images...they are waaaaayyyyy too big and
take too long to load (when you do this don't save as progressive
jpgs...it's annoying and not needed).

Download Irfanview (its free) and you can optimize, resize, rename all in
one shot..it'll take you 10 minutes to learn how to use the program.
