PWA 2003 - Manage Views

I have a Project View which is based on the Tracking Gantt.
Is the format (bar style, show or not show linked tasks, bar text, etc) of
the Tracking Gantt controlled/updated by the Enterprise Global?

OR is this Tracking Gantt (and other Gantt Chart Formats listed) controlled
directly in an aspx page or some other server file?

It seems as if I update the Tracking Gantt view in the Enterprise Global and
save those changes, that those changes are not evident when i view a project
whose view is based on the Tracking Gantt.

If this format is not controlled by the Enterprise Global, can you point me
in the right direction?

It sounds like you referring to a Tracking Gantt view that you see in PWA.
If this is the case, the Views stored in the Enterprise Global file are only
viewable in Project Professional 2003, and not in PWA. You have Gantt Chart
Formats in PWA that control how the Gantt Chart looks in PWA views. Hope
this helps.

Yes, i'm referring to views in PWA.
just to confirm, though you have several Gantt chart options with a Manage
View in PWA, you can not change the format or bar styles of the Tracking
Gantt option ?
I'm assuming this is true based on your reply.

just looking for confirmation..

Do you know if that changes in Project Server 2007 ?

In PWA, click Admin - Customize Project Web Access - Gantt Chart Formats.
This page allows you to customize existing formats and to create new one.
You will note that the Tracking Gantt is one available format that you can
customize. Hope this helps.

How do you adjust the timescale of the Gantt chart in the view in Project
Center?

Peggy --

There is no way to predefine a particular level of zoom on the timescale
when you create a Project Center view. Each user must zoom in and zoom out
as he/she wishes when the View is applied. Hope this helps.

Yeah! At least we can adjust the timescale after we select the view. I
totally had missed the magnifying glass in the toolbar. I usually hold down
Ctrl and use the mouse roller which does not work here.
Thanks!
