PWA 2007 Add-In for Outlook 2007

Mark Akins

I received an error while working with a PWA task in Outlook 2007 informing
me that I needed to Uninstall and reinstall the PWA Add-In (Outlook closed at
that point). I reopened Outlook and did not have access to the PWA tasks. I
uninstalled and reinstalled the add-in (in PWA/My Tasks/Actions/Setup Outlook
Sync). Now in Outlook:
- I do not have a PWA tool bar
- Tools/PWA does not have any menu items
- When opening the PWA tasks in Outlook, there is a message on the form that
says: "The Outlook add-in is not installed. Please install it from Project
Web Access. This form is not active."
I have uninstalled, repaired, reinstalled, etc. serveral times, but I
always have the same results. My user name is an admin on the computer. I
have even tried manually registering each dll for the add-in accoring to an
MSDN article. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Mark,

We are having a similar issue but we are in Outlook 2003. A user has been
able to update tasks in Outlook for several weeks and now he gets an
unexpected error and is asked to reload the add-in. The error is as follows:

"Please reload the Project Add-In for Outlook by clicking Options on Tools
menu. From the Other tab, click Advanced option and then COM Add-Ins. On
the COM Add-in dialog, ensure that Microsoft Project 2007 Add-In for Outlook
is checked, and then click ok. If this does not resolve the issue, you may
need to repair or reinstall the add-in via Add or Remove Programs from the
Control Panel."

He has tried repairing, removing, and reinstalling. On his latest try of
removing and reinstalling, the toolbar is no longer showing up in Outlook. I
saw a similar issue was filed on this site in March with no replies - does
anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
