PWA 2007 Main page setup access (WSS v3)

It seems that Project Managers (default security settings) on my newly
installed Project Server 2007 can go to the Home page of PWA and into
Settings and change things like color Theme that affects everyone elses
login! I knew as Admin I could do that and I even checked their rights on
the site and they are listed as Project Managers for Project Server. It
doesn't seem right that they can change Settings on the Shared PWA pages. Am
I missing something?

Hi David,

This permission on 2007 needs to be checked under Site Actions - Site
Settings, permissions section. Check those users and their permissions
there. They should not be shown as Web Administrator or Full Admin. In
that case you may need to see what permissions they have.

Hi Ravi,

That's what is weird. I checked again on the PWA Home page under Site
Actions\Site Settings\User Permissions and the only Administrator is me and
the SharePoint service account. The Project Managers that can change the
colors that affect all users that log on have only Project Manager permission
checked as below:

Project Managers (Microsoft Office Project Server) - Users who have
published this project or who have Save Project permission in Microsoft
Office Project Server.

That is the only permission they have which is based on their Security Group
in Project Server.

Still can't figure out why....

Thanks, David

Okay, in this case what RBS level they are in? And could you please
check on the category and group permission that describes the
workspace level accessibility for these users?
I don't have a 2007 instance handy to check those options. If this
don't work, you may need to wait for some other people in the forum to
help you.

Thanks,
Ravi.
