PWA 2007 - My Tasks View - Can you show all summary levels

C

Cyn

Right now, for tasks in the My Tasks view for PWA2007, you can only see two
levels of outlines - the first one (the schedule name), and the task itself.

Question - is there anyway to see all of the rollup tasks that the actual
task shows up under (note that by rollup, I do not mean successor/predecessor
task - I mean when you indent a task, the above task becomes the rollup
task).

Hope someone has an answer out there.

In the future, please post your Project Server 2007 questions in the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is dedicated to
the Microsoft Project desktop application only. To answer your question,
the answer is no, you cannot currently see summary tasks (rollup tasks) for
subtasks on the My Tasks page. This is a big design goof by Microsoft, as
it limits the usability of the My Tasks page functionality. Whether
Microsoft ever corrects this goof has yet to be seen.

Team members CAN see the summary tasks for any task by clicking the name of
the task to display the Assignment Details page. On this page, tell them to
look at the Task Path field directly below the Task Name field. Hope this
helps.
