PWA 2007 Task Update Conflict error

My assignee received the following error when she submitted task updates from
My Task: "This assignment was updated, but one or more of your saved changes
conflict with the new published values." Her My tasks updates appear to be
gone. Can they be retrieved? How can she resolve this conflict error? How
can we avoid this scenario in the future?

I am also having this problem. Does anyone have an answer. I am EPM 2007,
pre-SP1.

My conclusion based upon reviewing back end tables, etc. is that the data is
gone and not retrievable. We are mitigating this issue by not allowing
submitted data to become "stale." We avoid stale data by insuring that PWA
task updates are approved within four working hours and we have created an
automated publish process that publishes all changed projects twice a day.
We are hoping that the recently released Service Pack 1 for Project Server
mitigates this issue as well.
