On a daily basis team members can update their tasks via PWA. Updates are
routed to PM for approval, and project is republished. Issue... is when team
member just wishes to change the "finish date"... here is the scenario.
A Task is assigned to take 8 hours of work and scheduled to finish this
Friday. The team member needs more time because of other priorities... so
wants to extend finish date to the following Friday... however, the task
itself will still only take 8 hours.... he is just requesting a extension to
the finish date.
PWA assumes OK 1 more week equal 40 hours and changes remaining work to 48
(original 8 hours, plus the 40). Now if user realizes this is an error and
changes the remaining work back to 8, the finish date changes back to "this
Friday". Like a catch 22
I know how to handle this within Project Pro, but how can I let team member
control themselves via PWA???
Thanks,
