PWA Access Denied on PS 2007

What would cause an active resource to be denied access that had
previously successfully gained access via PWA? At one point the
resouce may have become inactive due to a faulty AD synch; however, I
checked to make sure his user account is now active. Any help on how
to trouble shoot this problem will be greatly appreciated.

Dan, a couple of reasons why

- check that the user is an active PWA user ( as you wrote you have checked
this)
- make sure that the user actually navigates to PWA not just to the to level
site. This can cause this error message
- make sure that the user is not logged out of your system because the
actual user is locked.
- check the event logs to see if there are any error message that may
explain why

Hope this helps

Marc,

Thanks for taking the time to offer suggestions to my problem. A
couple of follow up questions on two of your suggestions:

- On your suggestion "make sure that the user actually navigates to
PWA not just to the to level site. This can cause this error message
(He is using the same URL that he had previousy been successful
with...so I don't think that is the problem)
- On your suggestion "make sure that the user is not logged out of
your system because the actual user is locked" (I am not sure what you
mean by this. How do I check if he is logged out and that the user is
locked?)

In the meantime I am asking the server side admin to check the event
log for errors.

Thanks again for your help.

Dan

Hi Dan,

in regards to your question if the user is "logged out", is about can the
user loggon with his account on the windows domain ( sometimes a user gets
logged out).

Let me know if the event log gives us some clues. Also can the user try to
loggon on a different PC. That at least will tell us if it is a user or a PC
problem
Thanks
Marc

Marc,

Again thanks for taking the time to reply to my questions. The server
side admin re-synched his id and the problem has gone away. Even
though it appeared his account was active, I assume somewhere deep
down in the system it thought he was inactive.

Regards,

Dan
