PWA Active X components

We made an msi file from the ActiveX controls to push with SMS. This
installs fine. The problem is that we installed SP2 and we can't figure out
how to get that to run via SMS on machines that DON'T have MS Project
installed. It basically doesn't contain any of the PWA files for the update.
So the the web interface prompts for SP2 installation even after the SP2
file is run.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Jeff.

I think we had the same problem.
Before SP2 we used the official Active X exe from MS and distributed it via
SMS.
As this didn't work anymore after the SP2 installation I searched for a new
exe, but couldn't find it.
So we took the .cab files from the server which contain the relevant ocx and
dll files and wrote a script that installs them. (Copy to client and
register).
This worked and we can distribute it via SMS again.

Hope this helps.

kind regards
Sylvia

Thank you for the reply. We were pretty much doing what you suggested. We
took the .cab file and made our own .msi. However, we left out the
PJ11ENUC.dll because it was in a seperate .cab. Once we added it to the .msi
we are working.
