PWA Does Not Work Correct (Please Help)

Andy Jones

When I use PWA on my internal network I can click on
documents or issues and add new ones with no problem.

However when I connect through my extranet address, the
documents and issues does not work. It tells me that

Microsoft Project Web Access Documents and Issues are
based on SharePoint Team Services from Microsoft.
There is a problem establishing a connection with the Web
server running SharePoint Team Services. Please contact
your system administrator.

What could be casuing this? I do have SSL implemented
with the IISlockdown tools already ran. Thanks!!

Andy,
I am facing the same problem regarding documents &
issues not working using extranet address.
Also, I am having a problem connecting to Project
Server from Project Pro. When I use
http://machinename.dnssuffix/projectserver it results
in "Unexpected server response". Does extranet users have
to use the Intranet address while connecting to Project
Professional?

Will connection to Project Server from Project Prof work
only with address as http://machinename/projectserver???

Setup: Intranet address: http://machinename/projectserver
Extranet address:
http://machinename.dnssuffix/projectserver

Any help would be appreciated?
Regards,
David

Andy:

Windows authentication is required for Project Server to pass your
credentials to SharePoint. When you logon via the Internet, unless you have
a VPN connection that provides a domain logon, Project Server will not pass
the proper credentials. A possible workaround is to use local logon
capabilities on the server.
