PWA export to Excel

I have one user who can not export to Excel from PWA. That user does not have
MS Project installed, but does have Excel installed. The export goes to the
clipboard.

After the export goes to the clipboard have you saved it as an xml file and
then opened Excel with that file. Clumsy but it works. The problem may be
happening because you need some office 2003 web components installed on the
users PC.

I'm having the same problem. What I've found out is that if I go to IE -->
tools --> Internet Options --> Security --> Custom --> Initialize and script
ActiveX controls not marked as safe and set this to at least Prompt then the
export to Excell will work. Which is a work around but since Project Server
is a Microsoft product I would like to somehow make this ActiveX control to
be "marked as Safe" so I would not have to reconfigure IE on all of my
customer's PCs. If anyone can answer that question it would be great.
