PWA incorrect Task and Resource information displayed

S

Simon[PMP]

Hi all,

There are some discrepancies in my Project Server 2003. I can see resource
A is assigned to a task and the task is completed 20% in the Gantt Chart
view in PWA. However, when the resource A logged in, no task displayed in
the "My task" view. And when I check the assignments of resource A in the
resource view, it said that "no assigned task".

Obviously, the task and resource information is incorrect.

Any one can help me to solve this problem?

Thanks a lot,
Simon Su

Simon,

Are you really PMP certified? I don't see you name on the PMI registery.
You shouldn't lie like that if you are not certified.

Hi Hammi,

Thanks for your advice. I definitely am certified PMP. You cannot find my
name on the PMI registry because my official name is Haixiang Su which is
stated on my passport while Simon Su is my English name.

Welcome to send me email at (e-mail address removed) or (e-mail address removed) to
exchange idea on PM,PMBOK,OPM3,Software engineering and CMMI etc.

Do you have any idea on the problem I mentioned in the previous email?
Thanks again,
Simon Su

Have you published the task? If not try that. If so, try republishing.

The use of pseudonyms is quite popular in news groups as it is in life. Who
are you to make such challenges. You don't even provide your full name.

You're such a good little ferret, I think you ought to be able to verify
that.<g>

Look, you are the Smuck here. I asked a perfectly legitimate question. For
some reason, you felt the need to butt in. You my friend, are an ASS.

By the way, your book sucks!

Your question may be legitimate in a PMI forum, but totally inappropriate
here. One of the nicest aspects of the project forums is that, PMs in
general, don't resort to personal attacks and challenges. If you want to
question someone's credentials do it elsewhere. If you've got a Project
Server question or something of value to contribute, by all means post it
here.

If you're going to question someone's credibility, find an appropriate place
and have the decency to use *your* real name. Otherwise you risk being
thought of as just another troll.
