PWA License Count

James Coulter

Hi,

I have a client who has got material resources in their Enterprise Res Pool.
However, the resources are not marked as material in the resource sheet,
because the client needs to be able to associate a calendar with these
resources. This means that these resources are classed as work resources and
therefore appear as users in PWA, and count towards the number of licenses.

Is it OK if we do a manual update to the SQL database and set WRES_CAN_LOGIN
= 0 and also WRES_COUNT_LICENSE = 0 for these resources?

James -

Have you considered making the material resources Generic resources?
Generics don't count towards the CALs, and you can assign a calendar to
them.

I also have some resources who are named individuals but
don't use PWA at all so I would not want them to show. Is
there anything I can do about this?
