I'm have a bit of a issue with users on task delegation. When a PWA user
chooses to delegate multiple tasks (let's say 10 tasks), PWA completes the
onscreen delegation process. The system shows the usual message that it will
alert the Project Manager and resource. When the user receives the email they
find that only 6 tasks were actually delegated.
Although, PWA recognizes that 10 tasks when they are chosen, it appears to
randomly select tasks from the batch to complete and drop others. The dropped
task continue to show on the users task list, as if they were never choosen.
If the user can repeat the process a second time (choosing the 5 dropped
tasks) and of those 5, 3 may delegate and 2 are dropped. Consistently. A
third attempt is needed to fully delegates all remaining tasks to the
selected resource, (in this case the remaining 2).
This occurs for any resource, regardless of permission levels. It does not
appear to be a problem with alerting, or a problem with the task itself,
simply a random selection process that PJS is using to complete delegation.
No errors appear when the user trys to delegate.
