Hi...

Is there way wherein we can close the timesheet for a particular period say
monthly and therein no resource would be able to log in manhours before that
date.

Thanks,
Trivikram.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the prompt reply. Could you give me the steps / procedure to
accomplish. Unfortunately I am not the admin and I have to feed this to my
Admin. This way, can we restrict a resource to log manhours for the closed
timesheet period???

Thanks,
Trivikram.

Log onto PWA with Administrator permissions

Select Server Settings > Manage Time Sheet Periods.

Next to each TS period you can select either open or closed.

This will only be of use if your users are entering all their time in
Timesheets.

Hi Paul, thanks for the reply.

Is this applicable for My Tasks or is this only for people using timesheets.

Thanks,
Trivikram.

I notice that this same issue exists in Project Server 2010 and there is no way to close time periods when timesheets are not used. Is there any workaround or plans to fix this issue? This is an problem for my organization because we don't want team members to enter time in a past year after we have closed financials for that year.
