PWA over VPN problems

When trying to access PWA via VPN I get the logon prompt but when I
ender a username and password I get this error message in Internet
Explorer window "The page you are looking for is currently
unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical
difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings"

Any ideas?

Are you running IP/Sec over your VPN? If so, ensure that the PWA server is
allowed in the policy.

Can you ping the server ?

Are you using the same URL over the VPN as you do when you're in the office ?

I can ping the server.
From inside the network I can ping it just by name "servername" or
full name "servername.domain.local"
With VPN I can ping it by IP address, and full name
"servername.domain.local", but I can't ping it by "servername".

When inside the network I can use http://servername.domain.local/PWA
and it works fine, when I use the same address over VPN I get the
error I posted in my question.

Hello,

Have you tried by entering username with domian?

Example: Your domain is americas and user name is mizerajk

Enter user name as anericas/mizerajk when you connecting to PWA

Yes, I am sorry, I typed wrong. You are correct. It should be
Domainname\Username

Just thought,

You can try User Authentication option settings undet IE options,
steps are:

On IE browser, Tools menu -> Security -> Local intranet or Internet
based on your connection -> Custom Level ->
Under User Authentication, choose "Automatic login with current
username and password" and click OK -> Click OK

Close all existing browser windows on machine

Launch new IE browser and attempt PWA connection
