PWA Overwriting Project Plan Actuals...

When time is entered on timesheets in the PWA, it overwrites the hours in
Project plan rather than appending it. We imported an existing plan so we
want the hours that were there to stay there and just have the new hours
added. We are using non-managed periods.

Example:
1.Task A has 5 hours in the project plan
2. The plan is imported to project server 2003 sp1
3. 10 hours is entered in the PWA for Task A.
4. The total hours for Task A should be 15 when updates are saved to the
project plan, but it shows 10.

After importing a project that contains actuals, you need to do the
following immediately:

1. Click Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments
2. Select the "Overwrite actual work entered by resources" option
3. Click OK

Doing the above steps will "push" the actuals currently in the Microsoft
Project plan to each user's timesheet in PWA. When users enter actuals on
their timesheets from that point forward, they will be appending what is
already on the timesheet. Hope this helps.
