pwa site dissappeared

Hi,
I have a situation where I cannot access the pwa site.
In Central Administration /pwa appears in the Site Collection List
The site also appears in the WSS_Content database with all its Webs

The sharepoint site is at http://localhost/

Accessing http://localhost/pwa gives HTTP 404 error

pwa does not appear in Sites and Workspaces for http://localhost/
If I try to create it here, I get an additional line in the WSS_Content
database

Can anyone assist me to recover the functionality of my pwa site?

Ian Lowe

Hi Paul,

Thank you for your reply. No, this did not help.

In Sharepoint Central Administration Site Collections I can see
/
/pwa
/serviceagreements

In the WSS_Content database, I can see these 3 sites in the Sites table
In the Webs table, I can see these 3 sites and others (most are subsites to
/pwa)

I can access http://myservername/ and http://myservername/serviceagreements/
but not http://myservername/pwa/

It seems that a hotfix or something similar has effectively disconnected the
Project Server site from Sharepoint.

If I go to http://myservername/ and try to create a new site, the template
for Microsoft Office Project Server is there but if I create a site using
/pwa, it allows me to create this site but puts a new pwa entry in the
WSS_Content database while leaving the original pwa entry and all its
sub-site entries.

I am trying to restore the original pwa web site.

Hi,
I noticed that Sharepoint Spy indicates that the SiteId ... was not found in
the ProjectSiteCollection for this SSP.

In the myservername\OFFICESERVERS database, there are two SharedServices1_DB
databases with different identifiers. I now suspect that this may be where
the problem occurs.

I thought I would just create a new SSP and assign it to the other SSP
database but it does not allow me to do this since the database with the name
I provided is not empty.
