I have only database backup of Project server & MOSS setup.
I need to restore one PWA site (which was deleted accidentally earlier) out
of several instances we have in the setup.
I tried restoing a content DB containing the PWA site(http://server/pwa_yy)
and another MOSS site(http://server/sites/site_yy). The MOSS site shows up
but PWA doesn't show up (I guess since Shared Services DB doesn't contain
entry for PWA instance). So I restored all the 4 Project server DBs (draft,
archive, published, reporting)& tried creating PWA instance with earlier name
(pwa_yy) using central admin. It gave error saying site by name already
exists. Then I deleted the pwa_yy site using the delete site collection
option in central admin and tried again creating the PWA site with same name
(specifying the 4 restored project server DBs). Again it says same error
though the current content DB doesn't have PWA site by that name now. I tried
creating PWA with different name (pwa_yy1) it succeeded & all the old data is
showing up in that.
I need to create the PWA using the earlier name (pwa_yy). How do I acheive
it? is there a way to clean up (the old path name) and create back with that
name?

Found the solution.
I need to delete the
explicit inclusion path in Central Admin for server/pwa_yy.
After deleting the managed path, I was able to create the pwa site with that
name wih restored databases.
