This is an odd issue, I have seen the usual PWA provisioning with "failed see
event log" message many times before, however this one is new to me!
Basically when you attempt to provision any site on any Web Application in
the farm (using any credentials) the provisioning job will start by
displaying "Waiting for Resources" then suddenly after a few refreshes, the
job will simply dissapear without a trace!
No errors are logged in the Event log and in fact even with Project
Provisioning and Timer / Timer Job logging turned up to verbose, NOTHING at
all is recorded about this attempt in the ULS logs!
The farm is rather extensively used with a dozen or so other MOSS apps on
various web applications in a "large farm" configuration, and we have tried
running through the SharePoint config wizard on the server hosting central
admin again to see if any errors come up, which they didn't.
Also importantly there was previously a PWA site provisioned on this farm,
it was however using a now removed dedicated project app server which has
been removed and replaced with a new server (both by running psconfig as
normal) and that old PWA site has was removed from the SSP.
Any thoughts as to why I'm not even getting an error
Thanks,
