PWA Splitter-bar Question

I'm hoping that someone else has run into this problem and has a solution:

In creating views in PWA you have the ability to set the "left offset for
the splitter-bar". Most of the views that I use in the Project Center have
no need of the Gantt chart that displays to the right of the splitter-bar.
In fact, I have many users who think that having the Gantt chart there is a
nussance and counter productive.

In these views, I have set the splitter bar as far right as I can by
specifying a number of pixels in the view (usually 585). Doing this usually
moves the splitter-bar all the way over the far right so that the users can
see the view that I intended them to see without having to move the bar over
themselves.

The problem is that if you set the splitter bar to be all the way over to
the right, the vertical scroll bar disappears and the user has to move the
splitter bar just a little bit to get it to reappear.

I prefer to see if anyone has come up with a way to just remove the
splitter-bar from certain views. Or perhaps you have a better way to
achieve the results that I'm trying to get.

I welcome your comments.

Thanks!

Hi Charles

The first answer to your question is that there is no option to remove the
splitter bar in Project Web Access views such as "project centre" in the way
you can choose a data sheet in the Project Desktop tool. There are views such
as resource centre that dont require a Gantt chart. These dont have a
splitter bar.

Those views that have a splitter bar do need to expose the right hand side
to see the scroll bar .... this would normally require go back and forth in
the admin manage views until you have the bar positioned to expose just
enough of the scroll bar.

There are no easy ways ....

The alternative is to use the cursor keys to scroll up and down the view

Thanks Chris

Maybe I should try to create a resource view to meet my needs. But I'll
need a way to display the resource view in the Project Center and not in the
Resource center in PWA.
