PWA timesheet column header

Michael

Okay, let me try again. This question remains unasked every time I've seen
it on this discussion group.
I would like to change the date column headers on the right side of the
timesheet pane in the PWA team member view. The view includes the date, but
I would like to add the day of the week to that column header for my team
members. I have seen the day of the week included in the headers in screen
shots in several books, but no instructions about how to add the day of the
week.
Please help! My users are clamoring for days of the week to help them stay
organized.

Thank you in advance!

Michael,

The only settings I see related to this are as follows. Please note, I've
not found a "show days" checkbox in 2002 or 2003 in the 3+ years I've used
the product.

All instructions are for 2003 as I don't have a 2002 environment to try
this.

Centrally, you can set your configuration to track hours daily. This is set
from PWA by going to Admin, Customize Project Web Access, check the box that
says "Resources should report their hours worked every day". The default
tasksheet will then show all days.

If changing the central config is not desirable, individually, each user can
change the view options on their task sheet. If they switch to timesheet
view, then click View Options, they can change the units (bottom right) to
days.

In either option, a column will display for each day, which should have day
and date in the heading. If you aren't seeing this, I would love to know how
it got turned off.

Hope this helps.

Michael,

You must have view options show days of the week and only have 7 days
or less showing at one time for the days of the week to show up along
with the date.

If view options are set to weeks or entire period or you are on days
but are showing more than 7 days, you will lose the days of the week in
the header. I don't believe there is any other way around this.

Jonathan,

That's it! So simple, yet so obscure. Thank you! I hope everyone who
asked this question can find your answer.
