PWA - User Access to Document Library - Error when adding user

I have user who when they try to access a particular doc library they get an
access denied message. I verified this user was setup several weeks ago,
however, this person does not show up in the list of authorized users.
Therefore, I tried to add this person today and get message that can not add
because User already exists. But, the person is not in the list....Any ideas
on root cause and how to fix?

Jacky, I would syncronise the workspace site in PWA. Under project workspaces
you have the abillity to select a project and syncronise your users. This may
resolve your issue

Marc,
thanks for your prompt reply. I should have mentioned, this particular
library is a public library we created that is not associated to a particular
project. I ran the sync administrator option in PWA Manage Share Point
thinking that might help but it had no impact on this problem.

I went back into PWA admin and found the public doc library and ran
Synchronize Users. Unfortunately it had no impact on the problem. Still can
not add this user as when submitting the Add option there is the error "user
already exists".
