Hi, we are looking into installing Project Server 2003
could you tell me if connecting to PWA gives the same functionality to a
client users as connecting to Project Server with Office Project, or is PWA
more of an admin tool?

Hi

Project Professional is used for creating and editing schedules exactly as
it would if it was not connecting to the Project Server

The difference is that it can store the projects in a centrally managed
respository amongst other enterprise benefits

The Project Web Access client is a low cost interactive reporting tool.
Depending on the permissions of the user they can view portfolios of projects
& resources, a team member can recieve and submit progress on assignments

The Project Web Access client can not be used to directly add or edit tasks
and schedules. It should be noted that many areas of a project can be edited
such as building the team and editing a project's profile e.g. which
programme does the project belong to, who is the sponsor etc.

I hope this sheds some light on Project Professional & Project Web Access
working with the Project Server
