Hi folks. I just installed PS2003 / PWA in an interesting environment. There's no AD structure. Everything belongs to a workgroup, including the server running PS2003. We got through the install relatively painlessly. We've since run into a problem with PWA from one of the machines. Here are some of the symptonms
- when I log in and go tothe Projects page, PWA quickly returns to the PWA Home Pag
- when I go to Manage Users and Groups, the display box with the list of users doesn't show up. Neither does the Grid button. I can select Add and Modify users. If I select Modify, the Administrator account is loaded and ready to modify
- pages load very slowly, and incompletely. I've waited through some page loads, an noticed a Error on Page message in the browser status bar. It's similar to symptoms one might get trying to access a web site that a firewall might not like some oieces ti the website. Project server is included as a trusted site
I can navigate PWA with no problems both from the server itself and from 2 other client machines. So far, this is the only machine with issues. The issues on this machine occur consistently for each PS account that is used. These accounts include Administrator, a PM account, and another administrators account. The accounts that fail on this machine work fine on the other machines. This machine can also access PS through P2003 Pro just fine
The clients are all XP Pro machines with the latest SP's and patches. It feels like either a networking issue, or this machine is not properly accessing SQL Server. The web browser is IE6
Can anyone shed any light on such anomolies
Many thanks
Jim
