PWA work details won't auto populate assignment number

We recently implemented a project 07 server including project web access
(PWA). I am trying to create an activity or proposal in PWA. I enter all of
the required information in summary information and then begin entering
information on the work details screen. When I enter a new task, it should
populate with the line number 1,2,3, etc. and I cannot enter the number
manually. If I try to save the work details without the number assignment, I
receive the following error, "Failed to enable constraints. One or more rows
contain values violating non-null, unique, or foreign-key constraints."

Have you got compulsory task enterprise fields ? If so, turn them off. Do
you still get this error ?

If i understand your instruction correctly, you mean to not require any of
the custom fields, correct? I did turn this off and still received the error.
If requiring custom fields does tend to cause this problem, is there a work
around for that, because our company needs these enabled.

Having required custom fields shouldn't cause a problem with proposals, I was
simply trying to identify if there was a problem with one of your codes.
