PWA Workspace Rights Sync Issue

I have recently changed many users account ID from one domain to another.
AM\GEORGE to CORP\GEORGE. When users accessed PWA they had full access to
what ever projects they had before....basically no difference. However, When
I look inthe projects workspace, I see the AM\GEORGE account and the
CORP\GEORGE in the user permissions area. The CORP\GEORGE user does not see
all the docs he stored when he was the AM\GEORGE user. WHat will it take to
get WSS3.0 workspace to sync up?

Another note, If I look at the owner of a document in the workspace, it is
the users old domain namethat owns the file, not the new domain name

It seems that somehow a new account was created on the workspace rather than
replacing the information on the old account. It could be because the
windows account is a considered to be some unique key of sorts in WSS. Not
sure how to remedy the situation after the fact.
