PWA2007 Project tasks not showing on My Tasks Page

R

Rick F.

I've currently got two projects where I am loaded as a resource on several
tasks in current and future windows. All the tasks that should be showing for
"Project A" show on the My Tasks page, but none of the tasks for "Project B"
show. I've checked and I am showing as a committed resource. I've checked and
View Options is not set to show only current tasks. I've re-published several
times. I've also brought up the publish column, reset to no, published, then
reset to yes and published to try and reset. Still, tasks show up for Project
A and not for Project B. Anyone else run into this? Anyone know the cause
and/or resolution to get Project B tasks to show on My Tasks? Any help here
would be greatly appreciated!

Off the top of my head, I think there are a couple of things that could
cause this issue:

1. Ask your Project Server administrator to check the Queue to see if there
are any jobs related to Project B that are stuck in the Queue.

2. Open Project B and apply the Resource Usage view. Right click on the
Work column and then choose the Insert Column option on the shortcut menu.
In the Column Definition dialog, select the Assignment Owner field and click
the OK button. Are you set as the Assignment Owner for the tasks assigned
to you in Project B? If not, select your own name in the Assignment Owner
column for your tasks, then save and publish Project B.

Let us know what you find in both #1 and #2 above.

Hi Rick, irronically, I had this issue on yesterday after changing the
Assignment Owner in a Project Plan. A friend advised me to 1). try
Clearing the “History†in your Internet Explorer (I.E.) browser per the
following: Tools>Internet Options>History>“Clear History.†and then 2). Add
the URL to the “Trusted Sites†in your Internet Explorer (I.E.) browser per
the following:
Tools>Internet Options>Security>“Trusted Sites.†As simple as this
sounds....it worked!

Hi Dale,

Thanks for the response. I checked the queue and nothing there relating to
Project B. I also brought up the Assignment Owner column in the Resource
Usage view in Pro and it correctly shows me as assignment owner on all tasks.
This one's got me scratching my head.

Thanks for responding. My URL was already setup as a trusted site. I cleared
the history in my browser and also cookies. However, I still cannot see
Project B tasks. I was wondering, did you delete and re-enter your URL as the
trusted site or was your URL not setup as a trusted site to begin with?
