PWA's Projects view

Edwin

This is new thread for more info for Gary L. Chefetz MVP.

Re cap - in PWA Projects View, I can see Projects but can only drill down on
some projects but others gives me this message:

There is no information to display in this view

Either the project manager has not published the project plan or there is no
information in the project plan to display.

These projects are published and have task info and assignments to Team
Members

Appl log in Event Viewer:
Faulting application VWNOTIFY.EXE, version 11.0.2003.816, faulting module
MSVBVM60.DLL, version 6.0.96.90, fault address 0x000250e3.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
Also this error:
Component: PCSViews
File: ViewsDrop.cls
Line: -1
Error Number: 0xffffffff
Description:
Error Information: Automation error
Additional Information: An error occured calling
ViewProcessingCompleted(projectserver, 225)

The ProjectServer Views Notification Service will eventually stop and many
xml files with be written to
\program files\microsoft office project server
2003\bin\viewdrop

This occurs (can drill down on some older Projects but not on other new
ones) no matter whose PWA does Projects drill down - Team Member on that
project, that Projrect's manager, or a user with Admin role.
Same occures if it is a imported project plan, a plan build from scratch
ProjectServer project or a project plan saved from a template.
It appears something was changed from "old" projects configuration to the
setup we are using now (there are three people with admin rights), WE JUST
CAN'T FIND WHAT IT COULD BE - group membership, Catagories, etc
We have pretty much used the default security templates but have tried
different settings in attempts to fix. Will return to defaults and try again.

Any info, ideas are appreicated.
