Yes. Create two paragraph styles, Question and Answer. In the Question
style, select Format | Numbering: Bulleted, and add the letter Q as a bullet
(this will be easier if you base the style on List Bullet). In the answer
style, use A for the bullet. In the Question style, set Answer as the "Style
for following paragraph" and vice versa. If answers sometimes exceed one
paragraph, you'll want an Answer Continue style that is indented but without
a bullet (you could base this on the List Continue style); assign a keyboard
shortcut to that style so that you can select it instead of Question when
you want to continue the answer.

I do large documents of Q & A (Questions and Answers) sessions. Each
question begins with a "Q." followed by a tab and the question. Once the
question is typed (which could vary in length) I hit enter to begin a new
paragraph which will be the answer, this one starts with "A." followed by a
tap and the answer which could be long also. Is there any way to
automatically number these paragraphs so that it automatically enters the
"Q.", then "A.", then "Q." again, then "A.", and so on? System will let you
program to start with "Q.", but when you hit enter it automatically enters
"R.". Any way to make this happen anyone? Thanks.
