Q. many graphics in my Word 2K file. How do make a place marker to indicate loading?

Hi,

I have a Word document which I'm going to give someone, along with an
access db I'm working on.

The Word document has many screen shot graphics to explain the
program. They take a while to load, which is not new to me.

However, I'd like to be able to place some sort of space marker in the
area where the graphic eventually appears. It can be anything like:
"Please wait, graphic will appear momentarily".

Is there anyway to do something like that ?

Thanks,
Jim

G'day Jim Jones <[email protected]>,

if you're using full automation already to prep the doc up it should
be trivial to make all graphic insert points a text box with that text
and the db reference to the picture that is supposed to replace it in
white font or something.

When the doc loads, it only has text boxes to display whilst the
automation chews through and populates doc. Plenty of DoEvents in your
loops may help a little for the user.
